In 2005, the first official One Dot company was created. One Dot Webs is affordable web design for the frugal client. Because our nine-year-old son, Jason, started his own business, Pencil Bugs, that same year and we were all very busy, I was selective about how many new clients I accepted.

In 2010, after helping authors self-publish their books and consulting with many others, One Dot Seminars was formed with the focus, "How to Become a Self-published Author."

My writing and editing experience began in 1982 when I was hired as an editor for TV Guide. Since then I have been writing poetry, children's stories, short stories, press releases, website copy, newspaper articles, and even speeches for other people. As a natural progression, it only made sense to include One Dot Writing . While I am happy to take on writing projects for other people, I also enjoy the ability to write about whatever interests me so I created a One Dot Advice blog.

As my professional and personal experience has grown (this is a nice way of saying I'm getting older), more and more people have asked my advice on parenting, entrepreneurship, publishing, and even technical issues which is why I started One Dot Consulting .
